Information and Documents Needed After Initial Consultation
- Two years' tax returns, including complete state and federal tax returns, W-2s, and 1099s
- Six full months of pay stubs, if married and spouse is not filing, will still need six months of pay stubs for the non-filing spouse
- If you are being garnished, I will need the paperwork you received from the court and / or your payroll office. Once filed, I will need the number for your payroll office, so I can call and fax up the paperwork they will need to stop the garnishment
- If retired, social security award letter and pension statement showing deductions.
- Three months of bank statements for any account that has your name on it.
- I will need the make, model, mileage, year, and color of any vehicle in your name. If you don't own a vehicle but drive someone else's, I will need the above plus the name of the owner and the town he / she lives in
- Copy of any car titles that have your name on them
- Current monthly statements showing balance and a monthly payment of car loans
- Copy of current mortgage statements showing balance and the monthly payment of the mortgage
- Copy of property taxes current and future due if not included in your initial mortgage statement
- Current declaration page for homeowners insurance
- Any bills you think may not be on your credit report
- Life insurance - need the name of the insurance company, if whole life, I will need the "cash surrender value" of the policy. You can call your agent for that
- Any IRAs, stocks, bonds, or CDs you have
- Payday loans / cash advances - these will not be on your credit report, so I will need the name and address, the year you got the loan, and the balance for these. You must provide this information so they will be discharged from your bankruptcy
